This is the major question by tourist that wanted to explore in Nepal. Nepal so far is one of the least affected countries from the Covid-19 pandemic. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the virus is that had seen in Nepal Himalayas is weak compared with other parts of the world. As of July 19, 2020, there are only 17,658 positive cases with 11,695 recovered cases. Only 40 people lost their life due to Covid-19 in Nepal and there are as less as 5,923 active cases.

In Nepal, people who suffer from Covid-19 positive cases have mild symptoms or no symptoms at all. And, rarely Covid-19 positive needed ventilator or intensive care unit for the treatment. Most of the cases in Nepal were found healed within two weeks.

Travel Operation Protocol after Covid-19 in Nepal

The government of Nepal has published safety protocols and all tourism service providers must adhere to it. The protocols include who are qualified to travel to Nepal from abroad, how to handle tourists, and how to operate the services safely.

The Ministry of Tourism and Nepal Tourism Board are jointly conducting extensive safety and precautionary training on how to conduct hotels, trekking, and mountaineering adventures. This is one of the keypoint that Nepal is safe to travel for tourists even after COVID-19.

We are very confident from the news that active ages between 25-50 are likely to have less Covid-19 risk, and this is the age when you come to climb the mountain or for trekking. Enough immunity power of this age is evident that even if they catch with the virus, the recovery is fast and likely no danger of life.

Rescue Plan of Nepal for Travelers

Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation is planning to arrange a proper rescue system especially for Covid-19 cases and to designate special hospitals for the treatment of Covid-19 positive tourists.
