Tsum Valley and Manaslu Circuit Trek Overview
Satori Adventures Tsum Valley and Masaslu Circuit trek combines adventure with the world’s unique traditions and cultures. The trek features the spectacular landscapes in the region of Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m), the world’s eighth-highest mountain, and the sacred Ganesh Himal along with the secluded Tsum Valley, known for its Tibetan Buddhist heritage, ancient villages, age-old monasteries, and the century-old “no-sacrifice” and non-violence zone known as ‘Shyagya’.
In this three-and-a-half-week trek, you experience vivid changes in culture, landscape, climate, and fauna as you trek higher from the lower sub-tropical valleys. The trekking region is restricted to large influxes of tourists and requires a special permit to enter due to its geopolitical location. As a result, this pristine land has preserved its Himalayan wilderness to a great extent.
Satori Adventures’ Tsum Valley trek with Larke Pass trekking program first takes you to the sacred Tsum Valley through the Syar Khola towards the northeast leaving Budhi Gandaki river in Lokpa. You explore the Tsum Valley, known as the "Hidden Happy Valley" (from the Tibetan name Beyul Kyimolung), which includes various villages, Chortens, mani walls, and monasteries, including the most important spiritual centers such as Mu Gompa, Rachen Gompa and others.
Then, the trek follows the classic Manaslu trail to the upper Manaslu region, which offers breathtaking Himalayan scenery, including close-up views of Mt. Manaslu. Highlights include visits to Manaslu Base Camp and Pungyen Gompa. The trek, in its entirety, provides breathtaking views of Manaslu, Himalchuli, Ngadi Chuli, Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, and the Annapurna ranges and another significant highlight of the trekking program is the challenging Larkya-La Pass (5,106 m / 16,752 ft).
This moderately strenuous high-altitude trek requires good physical fitness and mental preparation. The trek involves long walking days, steep ascents and descents, glacier terrain, and continuous altitude gain. Proper acclimatization days are included to ensure safety and comfort while trekking.
We provide a fully organized trekking experience with complete logistics, including experienced licensed guides, strong porter support, transfers, trekking permits, accommodation in comfortable hotels and teahouses, and full-board meals during the trek. Choosing us means traveling with a trusted local team dedicated to safety, personalized care, professionalism, and ethical practices. With expert guidance, careful itinerary planning, and deep local knowledge, we ensure your journey on the Tsum Valley and Manaslu Circuit Trek (Manaslu Trek with Tsum Valley, either way you choose) is not just a trek, but a life-changing Himalayan adventure filled with unforgettable memories.

Tsum Valley and Manaslu Circuit Trek FAQs
In Nepal, we have four distinct seasons: Spring (March - May), Monsoon/Summer (June - August), Autumn (September - November), and Winter (December - February). Satori Adventures offers trekking programs throughout the year, in line with Nepal’s tourism slogan, “Nepal for All Seasons.”
However, each season presents different conditions. During the monsoon, heavy rainfall can cause landslides and flooding, making travel more challenging in the mountains. In winter, temperatures in the Himalayas can drop to arctic levels, and heavy snowfall may pose some challenges to trek.
Night temperature Larke La Phedi the last place where you sleep at 4,460m (14,633ft) night temperature in autumn season is about -5°C to 0°C (23°F to 32°F) and at Larke La Pass (5,106m) it can be around -15°C to -10°C (5°F to 14°F). In spring, the temperature drops a little less, while in winter it will be way more than this.
Regular cardio exercises such as hiking with a backpack on uphill and downhill terrain, stair climbing (if outdoor hiking is not possible), running, or cycling are highly effective. Additionally, focusing on endurance, strength, and breathing exercises will help you handle the physical demands and high-altitude conditions of the trek more effectively.
