Purnima Shrestha is one of the most respected and revered high-altitude pioneering female mountaineer and photojournalists, a Mountain leader in Satori Adventures.
In a remarkably short time span, Purnima Shrestha has built an extraordinary mountaineering legacy—summiting Mount Everest five times, including making history in Spring 2024 as the first woman in the world to climb Everest three times in a single season, within just thirteen days. She is also one of only first two Nepali women to have successfully climbed Annapurna I and Dhaulagiri – two of the world’s most challenging 8,000-meter peaks.
Ms. Purnima began her 8,000m mountain climbing career in 2017 with a successful ascent of Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m/ 26,781ft). And, since then she has rapidly emerged as one of Nepal’s most respected female high-altitude climbers. And, as of 2025, Shrestha has climbed eight 8,000-meter peaks—including Everest, Manaslu, Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri, and K2 – establishing her as an influential figure in high-altitude mountaineering as she keeps breaking boundaries and inspiring millions.
