Phur Tenji Sherpa, born on October 24, 1986, in Chheskam Solukhumbu, is a seasoned and highly skilled climbing Sherpa guide. Currently residing in Kapan 11, Buddhanilakantha, he stands at 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 78kg. As a Ngangombu Sherpa, he has deep roots in the mountaineering culture, with his mother being Phurphuti Sherpa. Phur Tenji has undergone extensive training, including Advanced Mountaineering Training in 2012, Basic Mountain Rescue and Basic Mountaineering Training in 2010, Hill Walking Navigation and Trekking Guide certifications in 2010, Introductory Rock Climbing in 2009, and Food Preparation and Control Training in 2008. He has successfully summited several challenging peaks, including Mount Everest (8000 meters) in 2016 and 2018, Mount Cho Oyu in 2017, and Mount Manaslu in 2020. Phur Tenji has also made remarkable achievements in smaller peaks, becoming the first Nepali to ascend Arniko Chuli Peak, Island Peak 56 times, Mera Peak 21 times, Lobuche Peak 4 times, and has climbed many other 6000-meter peaks. His wealth of experience and impressive record make him one of Nepal’s most accomplished and trusted climbing guides.
