All other arriving batch of the expedition begins to arrive in Kathmandu.
28 August 2026
The Larke Peak (6,010 m/19,718 ft) climbing team leaves Kathmandu in the late afternoon. As the devastating flood damaged and blocked the road to Besisahar in the Kathmandu-Mugling section, they drive via the alternate Hetauda-Narayangarh-Muglin-Besisahar-Gowa route. They will then follow the route to Bhimthang-Phedi-Larke Pass-Larke Base Camp. After the climbing, they join the group in the Manaslu Base Camp.
26 August 2026
The second batch of our Manaslu climber arrives in Kathmandu and, like the earlier batch, is also heading for an acclimatization climb prior to the Manaslu expedition. They are attempting to climb Larke La Peak.
Satori Adventures’ Manaslu Expedition 2026 Sherpa leader and guide, Tasi Lakpa Sherpa, will lead the climb with the support of Pem Chhiri Sherpa and Thuktang Sherpa.
25 August 2026
The Chulu Far East climbing group leaves Kathmandu for Dharapani via Besisahar. Nima Sherpa, Satori Adventures’ acclaimed climbing guide, also known as “Speed Nima” for his accomplished climbs of many peaks in a short time, leads the group. Nima Sherpa, Pemba Oingdi Sherpa, and four porters depart together.
23-24 August 2026
Satori Adventures contributes three Sherpa guides to the Rope Fixing Team of Manaslu on behalf of the Expedition Operators Association of Nepal (EOA-Nepal) and Nepal Mountaineering Association. In the formal ceremony and handover program, conducted by Satori Adventures’ Managing Director Mr. Rishi Ram Bhandari, also the General Secretary of EOA-Nepal, summit flag and ropes formally handed over to the team. Three Satori Adventures rope-fixing team member of seven members team are Lopsang Bhote, Ngima Sherpa, and Pasang Gyaljen Sherpa.
They leave for the Manaslu Base Camp on 24 August, 2026.
22-23 August 2026
First batch of Manaslu expedition member arrive in Kathmandu. They are here to climb Mt. Chulu Far East 6059m (19,878ft) as an acclimatize climb of 6,000m peaks before Mt. Manaslu.
20 August 2026
Pemba Sherpa, Palchen Tamang, Ongdak Sherpa, Pasang Norbu Sherpa, Mingmar Tamang, and Ngima Dorjee Tamang who left Kathmandu on the 15th of August arrive at the Base Camp.
They begin to support the Base Camp team lead by Furte Sherpa and Lankaram Tamang, who was already there from 07th August, and expedite the Base Camp establishment.
Significant progress can be seen already as Furte Sherpa and Lankaram Tamang employed some ten local villagers in making the Base Camp site comfortable.
Tents start to stand. Grounds are now stable, flat, and comfortable.

First batch of the logistics arrive at the Base Camp.
15 August 2026
From Tilije, Prem Kumar and Gelje Tamang load the logistics onto around 90 mules, and about fifteen human porters facilitated by the Satori Adventures operation team in Kathmandu and head towards Base Camp via Bhimthang-Phedi-Samdo-Samagaon route.
The fragile items which needs to handle with care are carried by human porters and supposed to reach the Manaslu Base Camp in 8-10 days from here.
15 August 2026
Sherpa climbing guides, including Pemba Sherpa, Palchen Tamang, Ongdak Sherpa, and Pasang Norbu Sherpa, along with two cooks, Mingmar Tamang and Ngima Dorjee Tamang, leave Kathmandu to the Manaslu Base Camp. They are primarily the first support team to establish the Base Camp.
Because of the rain, and still monsoon, they will also follow the Besisahar-Dharapani-Goa-Bimthang-Phedi-Dharmashala-Samdo-Samagaon route to Base Camp.
14 August 2026
Satori Manaslu Autumn Expedition 2026 staffs carefully replace the packed items into safe expedition barrels and bags. They put the items into around 60 barrels as it fits, and the others into jute bags and duffel bags according to their size and type.
The total logistics amounted to approximately 4,500 kg.
Just a small note, this is the initial supply, and we have hundreds of kilograms of additional supplies not accounted for here, which will be sent later.
Our staffs then carefully load these bags, barrels, and packs onto the trucks to be transported to Manaslu Base Camp.
Our Manaslu Base Camp kitchen staff, Gelje Tamang and Prem Kumar Tamang, board each truck and drive to Dharapani, reaching Tilche, sometimes spelled Tilije, the next morning.
11 August 2026
Satori Adventures’ kitchen staff pack all the kitchen articles, which include serving plates, cups, soup bowls, sweet/dessert bowls, kitchen knives, tablecloths, thermos flasks to keep the water warm, a generator for electricity, solar panels and accessories, gas cylinders, kerosene and petrol fuel, toilet tents, shower tents, kitchen tents, dining tents, store-room tents, socializing area tents, climbers’ individual tents, high-altitude tents, ropes etc. All these materials are newly to be transported on top of our existing logistics in Samagaon.
The kitchen/meal purchase was completed in the earlier days, and they pack all the food items today. These include tea/coffee, milk powder, muesli, flakes, granola, rice, dal, pasta, sugar, beans, spices, cooking oil, butter, cheese, ghee, bread, biscuits, dry fruits, chocolates, canned fruits, juice, wine and rum, honey, butter, syrups, flavored toppings, dry vegetables, cleaning materials, and other items. Around 300 different items are included and packed today.
Sherpa climbers also pack and send their baggage to Base Camp along with the logistics. Their equipment includes a down suit, sleeping bag, mattress, boots (for peak climbing and expedition climbing), lightweight crampons, down pants/warm pants, down jacket, gloves, two types of goggles and layers, thermal clothing, trekking clothing, personal equipment, a 50-meter guide rope, two types of Jumar ascenders, harness, locking and non-locking carabiners, personal ice screws, rock pitons, 8-finger ascenders, helmet, ice axe, and other necessary equipment.
And, the logistics is ready now to move.
09 August, 2026.
Our climbing staff begin packing the necessary climbing and safety items to be transported by trucks and then by mules (there are no yaks in this region). The items packed included are 80 oxygen cylinders and required O2 masks, O2 regulators with contingency and extra at the Base Camp, Radio sets, and Radio set chargers in required numbers.
Other equipment prepared included guide ropes, ice screws, locking carabiners, MSR burners, MSR pots, normal burners, normal pots, high shawls, and others.
07 August, 2026
Furte Sherpa and Lankaram Tamang reach the Base Camp of Manaslu via Beshisahar - Thoche - Surke Khola - Phedi - Samdo - Samagaon. They open the store located in Samagoan, and begin to check the kitchen utensils and other minor equipment stored from the last season. And, they climb to Base Camp to find a spot on the 8th August.
They begin to make daily trips to the Base Camp to make the site from Samagaon, where they sleep.
06 August, 2026
Lakpa Tashi Sherpa, Sherpa leader of the Manaslu Expedition Autumn 2026, returns to Kathmandu to check his gear and prepare for the climb after returning home following last season’s Everest climb. He re-evaluated all the oxygen masks, regulators, satellite phones, GPS devices, and other climbing gear.
Likewise, our Base Camp cook, Indraman Tamang, also returns after a short home visit to check and prepare food-list for the expedition. He also prepares the exclusive list of fresh fruit and vegetables items to be transported around September 10-12, 2026.
August 03, 2026
As the first field team, Furte Sherpa and Lankaram Tamang departs from Kathmandu on August 3 to conduct a reconnaissance (recce) mission for Base Camp site selection.
These two brave Sherpas travel from Kathmandu to Besisahar and Dharapani on a rainy day. From Dharapani, they continue on foot through Tilche, Bhimthang, Larke La Phedi, and across Larke La Pass before reaching Samdo and Samagaon, and eventually making their way to the Base Camp.
August 02, 2026
Documentation of Sherpa guides and other Manaslu climbing staffs begins. Our Sherpa climbing staff, support staff, Base Camp staff, and kitchen staff begin filling out the required forms for insurance, family member details for emergency contacts, and climbing permits. By this time, Satori Adventures begins designating the respective Sherpas to guide on different mountain peaks.
July 25-26, 2026
Our climbing Sherpas and kitchen staff thoroughly check the condition of the tents, oxygen cylinders, masks, regulators, kitchen utensils, and other camp equipment and climbing materials. Since our store is also located in Samagaon, where a significant quantity of kitchen and camp equipment is already stored, the team carefully assess the available materials and identifies the additional items required from Kathmandu for transportation to Base Camp.
They make sure that all the materials are in good condition and are properly organized, helping to ensure safe climbing operations and contribute to the success of the expedition.
