Journey of Makalu Expedition Spring 2025
The team reached base camp after 7–8 days of travel from Kathmandu, where all necessary paperwork and permits were finalized. At base camp,Sherpas set up tents and created a temporary home for the team to stay in until summit day. Practice sessions were held at Base Camp, Camp 1 and during the acclimatization rotations on the route to the summit. After all practice sessions and acclimatization, on the evening of May 10, the team began their summit push at 7 PM. After a 14-hour climb, our team finally reached the summit of Makalu on May 11.
Restless preparation, hours of training, and a positive mindset toward achieving the goal all made this possible. Our team spent around seven weeks on this journey to the summit. This journey was completed with laughter, long-lasting memories, smiles on our faces, and some truly challenging moments.
