Overview
The Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek threads through the Sherpa heartland of the Khumbu, linking historic villages, suspension bridges, and monasteries with views of the world’s most iconic peaks. Expect a steady acclimatization profile, comfortable teahouses, big mountain scenery, and the rewarding hike to Kala Patthar for a front-row panorama of Everest and Nuptse.
When to Go
Prime windows are spring (Mar–May) and autumn (Sep–Nov). Spring brings rhododendron blooms and warmer afternoons; autumn delivers clear skies after the monsoon. Winter is crisp and quiet with cold nights; summer is lush but cloudier with potential flight disruptions.
