everest-expedition

Satori Adventures is proud to announce that the 2016 Spring climbing season has been a huge success.  After another season of hard work in the high mountains we have put 7 clients and 9 Sherpa Guide’s on the summit of Mt. Everest! This puts us at having an 80% summit success rate with no accidents. Safety before success is always our motto in the high Himalaya, we pride ourselves on having a safe adventure operation that does not take unnecessary risks. With our experienced and qualified staff our clients always report feeling safe and taken care of during the duration of the expedition. For this we would like to give thanks to some of our Sherpa Mr. Mingma Tenji Sherpa and Jitesh Modi. Without your hard work this season none of this would have been possible. With your efforts we were able to bring Mr. Bhagwan Singh Kushwah from India, Mr. Debraj Dutta from India, Katoh Yasumasa from Japan, Pradeep Chandra Sahoo from India, Chetna Sahoo from India, Rafik Taher Shaikh from India and Devraj Dutta from Iran.
This was the first season that anyone has seen the summit of Everest since the terrible earthquakes last year. The season went on quite normally with its normal highs and lows. The route was fixed on the South and North sides by a mix of Sherpa from several companies. But unfortunately, Everest has claimed some lives this season as well as some cold and altitude related injuries. But success has been seen now on the South and North sides of the mountain. Late May proves year and year to provide excellent weather windows for those seeking the summit of the worlds highest peak. Some highlights this year included some oxygen-less ascents by both men and woman, showing us that with hard work and training some of the most impossible dreams can be achieved.

All of us at Satori Adventures would like to give thanks to the brave clients and our hardworking staff for another great season on Everest. Mount Everest Expeditions summit without the participation from our clients and the help from out staff dreams would not be realized. For this we at Satori give thanks.
