Satori Adventures Everest Expedition South Group Proceed from Kathmandu

Satori Adventures is proud to announce that the 2016 Spring climbing season has officially began. After the completion of arrangement of logistics and paperwork in Kathmandu, the south face Eveerest climbing team is already underway beginning the long caravan route to Everest South Base Camp. 

After months and years of preparation for some of the individuals they are now just at the starting line of their long 65 days expedition. Some members are reported to have already reached base camp, while some are still on their way to base camp. The Managing Director of Satori Adventures Rishi Bhandari has personally seen them off at the airport, ensuring that the first leg of their expedition goes off without a hitch.

The members of this year’s expedition include a variety of 4 different countries. This expedition includes 6 Indians, 1 polish, 1 Japanese and 1 Iranian member.

Assisting the mountaineers this year are 11 of Satori’s experienced and strongest climbing Sherpa guides some of which are multiple Everest summiteers, countless porters, 1 group leader and 5 kitchen staff members are all supporting this years clients. The team if fully equipped for the duration of the expedition and is essentially a self contained moving unit, fully capable of supporting themselves in the rugged Himalaya without any assistance from the outside world. The weather is expected to be clear this week in the Khumbu Valley with only a few days of scattered rain storms.
