Satori Adventures Everest Expedition North Spring 2016 Group is Scheduled to Depart Soon from Kathmandu

Satori Adventures is very proud to announce that the 2016 Spring climbing season is officially underway. The completion of logistics and the finalizing of paperwork in Kathmandu has finally been completed and the group is already underway beginning the long caravan route to Everest North Base Camp. 

After months and years of preparation for some of the individuals they are now just at the starting line of their long roughly 50 day expedition. Some members are reported to have already reached base camp, while some are still on their way to base camp. The Managing Director of Satori Adventures Rishi Bhandari has personally seen them off at the airport, ensuring that the first leg of their expedition goes off without a hitch.

The 9 members of this years expedition include a variety of 7 different countries. This expedition includes 1 Australian, 1 Italian, 1 Spaniard, 1 Brazilian2 Polish, 1 Japanese and 1 Indian.

The first 6 people are flying to Lhasa tomorrow, following them the remaining 3 members will fly to Lhasa on the 14th of April. 01 leader, 05 kitchen staff including tibeten with fully equipped and faith for summit.

Assisting the mountaineers this year are 11 of Satori’s strongest climbing Sherpa guides some of which are multiple Everest summiteers, there are also countless porters, 1 group leader and 5 kitchen staff members are all supporting this years clients. The team if fully equipped for the duration of the expedition and is essentially a self contained moving unit, fully capable of supporting themselves in the rugged Himalaya without any assistance from the outside world. Awaiting them is the rugged Tibetan plateau. The weather in Tibet is expected to be clear this week with only a few days of scattered rain storms. The North side of Everest is a committing expedition all of us at Satori Adventures wish this years brave clients a safe and successful summit of the world’s highest mountain! We await their return in Kathmandu to hear this years stories over a traditional cultural dinner!
